the palestinians are fighting with human suicide bombers, that’s all they have. the israelis ... they’ve got one of the most powerful military machines in the world. the palestinians have nothing. so who are the terrorists? i would make a case that both sides are involved in terrorism.

turner also admits that he was wrong to call the september 11 hijackers ‘brave’ in a speech in rhode island that sparked outrage.
:: at least 19 killed, 50 hurt, in suicide bombing on j'lem bus :: at least 19 people were killed and 50 injured this morning when a suicide bomber blew himself up on a bus full of passengers, most of them high school students, in southern jerusalem. five people were in serious condition.
the explosion took place around 8am near the pat junction on egged bus line 32a from the neighborhood of gilo. the blast ripped through bus, leaving it a charred, mangled hulk at the side of the road. [via ha’aretz]

police said that the bomb was relatively small, and that part of it had apparently failed to explode.
