:: i am angry and pissed-off! :: i live in israel and work in our capital, jerusalem. it is now just after 11am local time, tuesday, feb 19. on my way to work this morning i tuned through to bbc radio on mw [medium wave] to listen to the hourly news and this is what i heard:
israeli troops have killed three palestinians in a refugee camp in the southern gaza strip. israeli f-16's have again struck at fatah hq in ...
and so it went on to explain how israel have attacked and killed palestinians.
yet no mention was made of the fact that during the two hours between 5 - 7pm last night [local time, monday, feb 18], four israelis were killed -- two soldiers, a policeman and a civilian -- in two separate terror suicide attacks. not withstanding the five thwarted suicide bombers from the morning of the same day. all in all there were 11 suicide palestinian terrorists in a 24 hour period!
and what was israel's response? warn the palestinians in advance to evacuate specific buildings from where these terrorists operate, and then go in and destroy them. yet the bbc manages to tell a very one-sided version to the world.
there is a major difference between reporting the truth and the facts. bbc is guilty of distortion. would any of those reporters accept daily multiple bombings if they were happening around their children in the heart of london? i think not ...
