when a bus, travelling at high speed, is aimed at a group of people waiting at the bus station -- 8 died. more than 20 were injured
a young girl of 19 was hit 'head-on' and flung 20 feet -- the first day they spent 14 hours rejoining all the nerves in her leg [severed at the thigh]. day two, a 7-hour operation to stabilize her crushed hip. day 3 saw a 4-hour plastic surgery op to her face. she regained consciousness after 3 weeks. i went to her 20th birthday a month ago. i met her when she was just 2 years old!
another 19 year old girl was not even hit by the bus, but was trampled in the immediate stampede that took place. she has complete memory failure. her memory span is now 10 minutes. she cannot live on her own and will forever have to be monitored 24/7!!!
