could not stop thinkin about ed aldens’ ‘vari fighter’ ... and i had found out about paul shireys’ ‘stryke fighter’ ... i also took my hand from my heart and spent USD20 for a 2m length of 0.08 [2mm] carbon fibre rod ... and so the experiment began...

i measured and calculated and sketched and tested ...

the kite consists of a single yellow ripstop skin and a 2mm cf bow and spine ... all pockets and reinforcements are hand sewn [see detailed pics below ... the bow tensioner is from andy selzers’ ‘no sew buka’ plans ...

will only fly in light to medium-light winds ... difficult to tune ... but a fast and fussy fighter ...
